Golfweek Ranks ASU Men Seventh In Final Poll

ORLANDO, Fla. - - The Arizona State men ended the 1999-2000 season as the number seven team in final the Golfweek/Sagarin College Performance Index. ASU won four tournaments on the year, including its sixth-straight Pac-10 title, a conference record.

ASU's Paul Casey, a first-team All-American, finished the season ranked ninth and was the highest-ranked Pac-10 player. He has won six tournaments in his three-year career and finished the season with a 69.87 stroke average, which broke Phil Mickelson's ASU record of 69.95 set in 1991-92.

Charles Howell of Oklahoma State, who won the individual medalist honors at the NCAA Championship in record fashion, finished the year as the top-ranked individual.
