TEMPE, Ariz. -- Rob Evans and the Arizona State Basketball staff have announced the dates for their summer camps this year, and included among the sessions is a two-day Father/Son Camp during Father's Day Weekend (June 16-17).
One overnight camp will be held from June 4-8, the Father/Son camp will follow on June 16-17, one team camp will follow on June 23-25, and a commuter camp will end this summer's fun on June 26-30. All sessions originate at ASU's Wells Fargo Arena. Anyone wanting information on the camps should contact assistant coach Dan O'Dowd at 480-965-3343.
Information on each camp follows:
OVERNIGHT CAMP (JUNE 4-8): Overnight campers register between noon-3 p.m. (registration site TBA) on Sunday, June 4. Cost of the camp is $350 and includes all meals. Cost is $235 (with lunch) for those not wishing to stay overnight. A $100 deposit is required.
FATHER/SON CAMP (JUNE 16-17): Fathers and sons (even grandfathers) go through drills and competition together. Cost is $110 for both the father and son. A barbecue concludes the camp with moms and daughters invited.
"We look forward to working with the local community in our camps and developing the Father/Son Camp at Arizona State," says Rob Evans. "We want to provide each camper with a chance to become a better basketball player and to have a lot of fun in the process."
TEAM CAMP (JUNE 23-25): Teams are divided into divisions according to level of play and a tournament concludes the event. Cost for the camp is $160 per each team member (meals included). Teams should check in by 2 p.m. on June 23rd. A $100 deposit is required.
COMMUTER CAMP (JUNE 26-30): Campers have the option of attending sessions from 9 a.m.-noon or from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Registration is at 8:30 and 12:30 at Wells Fargo Arena on June 26th. Cost for either session is $160, and a camper may attend both sessions for $230.
