Myers Named Six-Pac Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. --

Arizona State first baseman/designated hitter Casey Myers has been named Pac-10 Southern Division Baseball Player of the Week. It is the second time in three weeks Myers has won the award and the third straight week a Sun Devil has been honored. ASU (31-14, 17-6) has won 11 straight overall and 12 straight Six-Pac games to pull within percentage points of Stanford for the Pac-10 Southern Division lead. The Sun Devils are now ranked as high as eighth in the nation.

Myers, a freshman from Casa Grande, Ariz., hit .529 (9-for-17) as ASU defeated Oklahoma and swept UCLA in three games last week. He scored eight runs and collected nine RBI while collecting three home runs. Myers is hitting .409 for the season.
