World Series Will End with Pac-10 Final
USC knocks defending champion LSU out with 7-3 win.

OMAHA, Neb - USC defeated LSU 7-3 to advance to the 1998 NCAA College World Series Championship Game against Arizona State on Saturday. The Sun Devils and Trojans played six times in 1998 with each team winning three times. The Trojans swept ASU at home by scores of 7-6, 13-5 and 6-3 (March 14-16) before the Sun Devils returned the favor with 18-3, 7-5 and 24-4 wins in Tempe (April 9-11).
The championship game is a matchup between the two teams with the most CWS titles as USC has 11 and ASU five. The game is at 9:30 a.m. (Arizona Time) and can be seen live on CBS and heard live on KMVP 860-AM and on the internet.
