Women's Golf Fifth after One Day at Bruin Classic

Sun Devil Kellee Booth is one shot off the lead

MENEFEE LAKES, Calif. - Senior Kelle Booth is one shot off the lead and top-ranked ASU sits in fifth place after the first day of the Pioneer Electronic Bruin Classic in Menefee Lakes, Calif. The Sun Devils trail Oregon, who holds a five-shot lead over second-place Stanford, while Oklahoma's Isabelle Blais and Texas Tech's Brooke Lowrance each fired a one over-par 73 for the first-round lead.

Freshman Grace Park is four shots off the pace while Jeanne-Marie Busuttil is six back. Keri Cornelius and Thuhashin Selvaratnam fired an 80 and 81, respectively. The tournament continues on Tuesday, weather permitting.
