TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State University women's basketball head coach Charli Turner Thorne will hold two basketball camps on the ASU campus this summer.

Turner Thorne, who just completed her 16th season as head coach of the Sun Devil women's basketball program, and her coaching staff will direct the camps.

The first camp will be a day camp, which runs from June 10-13. This camp will be for players from grades 2-12. Campers will be divided into two divisions: 2nd-6th grade and 7th-12th grade. Half-day sessions will be offered for kids who do not want to stay all day or have prior obligations prior to camp or later in the day. The 7th-12th grade division is for players interested in playing at the next level and becoming the best they can be. ASU coaches and players will teach and drill the fundamentals of shooting, one-on-one moves, position work, passing, ball handling, rebounding, defense, and much more. The 2nd-6th grade division will offer young players instruction in various basketball fundamentals and a chance to improve already developed skills. For young basketball enthusiasts there is no better way to spend time in the summer.

The second camp will be a team camp, which will take place June 14-16. The team camp is geared toward high school teams interested in the opportunity to work on team skills in game situations. Teams will participate in games and a clinic conducted by Turner Thorne. Eligible teams must have a coach and a minimum of eight players. Each team will play at least five games.

All camps will be run by ASU women's basketball coaches (Turner Thorne and associate head coaches Meg Sanders and Amanda Levens and assistant coach Jackie Moore) and players and will take place on campus.
