- Rain and unplayable field conditions caused the Pac-10 opener for the #9 Sun Devil Softball Team versus the Oregon Ducks to be suspended in the bottom of the fifth inning with ASU leading 2-1. The game does not count towards standings as five full innings were not completed, and will resume when the Ducks travel to to face the Sun Devils in May.

For , Amy Harris who gave up only two runs on three hits through her five innings pitched.
ASU scored first in the second inning as a lead-off walk to Rhiannon Baca was brought home after a Duck error and a fielder's choice plated Baca. The lead was short-lived though as the Ducks retaliated in the bottom of the inning after a lead-off double from Beth Boskovich was brought home to tie the score at 1-1 after Courtney Shlee hit a double to the left center wall.
The game remained quiet until the fifth inning, when the Devils brought home another one off a single from Bianca Cruz was advanced around the bases with a sacrifice bunt from Bridgette Caron, and a ground-out from Michelle Smith, placing the runner on third when a Duck passed ball brought home the go-ahead run.
The Ducks stepped up to bat in the fifth when the rain started coming down harder stopping play for good with one out and two on for the Ducks.
Up next, the Sun Devils will take on the #7 Oregon State Beavers tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m. in .
