#35 Joey Daccord, Goaltender
On their first win...
It was awesome. It was a pretty surreal feeling. Growing up in New England, college hockey is a pretty popular thing and it's been a goal of mine my whole life. We finally get that first win and it took a couple tries but it was an awesome feeling.
On his performance tonight...
Last night was tough. I just tried to come in and give the team a chance to win. Every game I just take it the same approach: one shot at a time. I really felt good tonight. They were really getting in front of the pucks and, honestly, the team played awesome. It was the best performance we've had so much so I didn't have to do too much. It was good.
On coming back from two early penalties...
It was tough. It was almost a flashback to my first start at Notre Dame where we took two penalties right off the bat. It felt really good to get a couple shots in and get a couple saves in and kill those off. I think after that we really went off from there.
On the two goals he allowed...
I think those were probably two of their better chances. One was a fluke goal, I think it went off the top of my head. I just felt it hit the top of my head and I had no idea where the puck was. It took an unfortunate bounce but, in the end, we scored more than they did and we won.
