- With his second field goal of the night, early in the 2nd quarter, Zane Gonzalez broke the Pac-12 record for points scored in a career with his 416th. He would end the night stretching his point record to 424.
- His four field goals on the night moves Gonzalez into a tie for 6th in FBS history with former Sun Devil Luis Zendejas for career field goals made at 81. The FBS record is 88 by FSU’s Dustin Hopkins, and he is now tied with Zendejas for the ASU record.
- Gonzalez has now scored a point in 42 consecutive games and is fast-approaching Zendejas’ other school record of 45 consecutive games with points scored.
- The two 54-yarders for Gonzalez are both career longs and he was 3-for-3 from 50+ yards this season after not having any in his career prior to the 2016 campaign. He finished the night 2-for-3 from 50-plus after just missing a 53-yard attempt in the 3rd quarter.
- Also, with the two 54-yard field goals, Gonzalez added another record to his resume becoming the first Sun Devil in history to kick more than one 50-yarder in a game.
- As of September 16, he is also the only player in the FBS this season with more than one 50+ yard field goal.
- Gonzalez now has four or more field goals in six games in his career, three more than any other Sun Devil player in history.

- N’Keal Harry joins DJ Foster as the only other Sun Devil in history to score a touchdown in each of their first three games as true freshmen at ASU.
- The freshman receiver led the team with five catches for 78 yards and the lone touchdown to end the first half.
Defense Wins Games
- The Sun Devils had 5 tackles for loss in the first half. They had just three in the entire game against Texas Tech.
- The stingy Sun Devil run defense has now held three-straight opponents to under 100 yards on the ground after holding the Roadrunners to just 93 yards.
- After the final UTSA score with 8:20 left in the 3rd quarter, the Sun Devil defense forced four-straight UTSA three-and-outs followed by a turnover on downs to end the game.
Ballin’
- Marcus Ball finished with a career-best seven tackles (five solo). His previous single-game best was four against West Virginia in the Motel 6 Cactus Bowl on January 2, 2016.
Milestones
- With his 12-yard rush is the 2nd quarter, Kalen Ballage eclipsed 1,000 career rushing yards. The junior now has 193 yards on the ground through three games.
No Rush
- The Sun Devils have now held 21 opponents under 100 rushing yards in the Todd Graham era (56 games/37.5 percent), including all three outings this season.
Gold Zone
- The Sun Devils have scored in 13-of-13 trips to the red zone in 2016 and have scored a touchdown on 11 of those trips. That was an area ASU struggled in last year, only finding the end zone on 51.5 percent of its red zone trips.
