Baseball Bloodlines: Father, Don, played both baseball and football
for ASU from 1963-1965.
Junior College: A 2008 graduate of Chandler-Gilbert Community College
in Chandler, Ariz...hit .344 with 10 doubles, two triples, one home run, 17 RBI
and 14 stolen bases in 2008...teammates with current Devils Carlos Ramirez and
Danny Skelly...spent the fall of 2006 at UC-Santa Barbara before transferring to
Chandler-Gilbert in the spring of 2007.
High School: A 2006 graduate of Cactus Shadows High School in Cave
Creek, Ariz...earned three varsity letters for baseball and was team captain as
a senior...a three-time all-region and two-time all-state selection...named his
team's MVP and defensive player of the year as a senior...played in Arizona's 4A
All-Star Game in 2006...helped his team to a state championship as a senior in
2006, hitting .412 on the season...also played for Connie Mack World Series
champion Arizona Firebirds in 2006.
Personal: Majoring in business management at ASU...parents are Don and
Jill Switzenberg of Cave Creek, Ariz...has five siblings, Kearstin, Tyson, Thad,
Tanner and Kessa...brother, Tyson, played baseball at McNeese State from
1997-98...is a Calgary Flames fan...lists Troy Tulowitzki and Steve Nash as his
favorite pro athletes...would like to attend the Running of the Bulls in
Pamplona, Spain...plays the piano and enjoys playing golf...born Jan. 8, 1988 in
Scottsdale, Ariz...full name is Trask Raymond Switzenberg.
