Was ranked seventh in California and was the top forward according to CalHiSports.com last fall. Ranked No. 70 by School Sports, a publication of Sporting News, and No. 77 by Clark Francis of Basketball Times. Visited campus September of 2003. Hoopmasters.com had him as No. 100, and he was ranked 122nd by RivalsHoops and was No. 37 on the website's forwards list. He played AAU ball with Oakland Slam and Jam and is a multi-year invitee to the ABCD Camp. Third Oakland product to play at ASU in the past five years, joining ASU's all-time leading scorer Eddie House (1996-2000) and Jamal Hill (2002-2004).
HIGH SCHOOL: An all-city and all-conference pick and also earned second-team all-state honors...averaged 28.9 points per game for Fremont High School in junior year (2002-2003) before transferring to Hercules High School for his senior year...scored 42 points against DeLaSalle in sophomore year and had 51 against Encinal and also had 24 rebounds against El Cerrito.
