ASU: Nine-time All-American who has shown the ability to compete with the nation's top sprint freestylers ... invaluable member of the Devil relay teams.

2000: Garnered First Team All-America honors as a member of Arizona State's school record-setting 800 free relay squad (6:24.73*) which finished second at the NCAA Championships ... anchored the 400 medley squad at Nationals which recorded the best time in ASU history (3:14.18*) ... also swam the anchor leg on 200 and 400 free squads which earned honorable mention All-American acclaim at NCAA's ... individually, etched his name into the Sun Devil record books with 43.90*, third place performance in the 100 free at the Texas Invite, ranking him seventh all-time ... also scored lifetime bests at Texas meet in 50 (20.39) and 200 (1:37.01*) competition, ranking him third and fourth on the team, respectively ... tied for 18th in the 200 at Nationals.

1999: Repeated as All-American as part of 200 free relay team which placed eighth at the NCAA's (1:19.39) ... also achieved honorable mention status as part of three other relay squads ... ranked third on the Sun Devils with 1:37.63 mark in the 200 free at the NCAA meet ... fourth best ASU racer in 100 free competition (45:05), while time of 21.09 in the 50 free was sixth speediest.

1998: Earned All-America honors as part of 400 free relay team (Pablo Abal, Craig Hutchison, and Francisco Sanchez) that finished third at the NCAA Championships (2:54.03) ... posted the team's third best times in the 200 back, 200 free (1:38.22) and the 500 free (4:31.06) ... also added season best times in the 50 free (20.98), 100 back (53.71) and 200 IM 1:59.29).

High School: `97 graduate of Vintage High School, Napa, Calif. ... `97 All-American (100 back) ... `95-97 team MVP ... M.E.L. conference champion in 100 back and 200 free four straight years ... Junior National Finalist in 100 & 200 back ... set high school records in 50 & 100 free, 100 back and 100 fly ... lists most exciting sports experience as winning the state championships ... also played three years of water polo.
