Player Bio: Sarah Crawford

Sarah Crawford enters her second season on the soccer staff at Arizona State University where she will continue to be responsible for goalkeeper training along with other administrative duties.

Last year, Crawford tutored ASU's goalkeepers to one of the school's best finishes -- third in the Pac-10 with a 1.15 goals-against average. The goalkeepers also played a big part in helping to tie the school record with five straight shutouts.

Prior to Arizona State, Crawford was the team's manager at her alma mater, Florida State University. After a distinguished career in the goal for FSU, Crawford became the first goalkeeper in Florida State history to start every minute of every game during her senior season.

She set single season records for most minutes (2273:02), best goal against average (1.23) and most wins (14). She is also second in saves in a season (139).

After just two seasons at FSU, Crawford was named a captain her senior year and finished her playing career with the second most saves in Florida State history (204) and the third most shutouts (7.5).

She was named All-Southeast Region, third-team by the NSCAA and All-Southeast Region second team by Soccer Buzz. After her performance at the ACC Tournament, she was one of the first Seminoles ever to be named to the All-ACC Tournament team.

Crawford transferred to FSU from Georgia State after playing two years for the Panthers. While at GSU, Crawford was named to the TAAC All-Tournament team, earned third-team All-TAAC as a freshman and named to the second-team All-TAAC as a sophomore. She was also a member of the TAAC Champions in 1997.

Crawford, a native of Lilburn, Georgia, graduated from Florida State with a Baccalaureate degree in Exercise Science and a Masters degree in Sport Administration.
