ASU: Versatile junior college transfer who contributed at multiple defensive line positions...missed only one game during his two years as a Sun Devil, and started nine of 23 career games...tallied 28 tackles (13 solo) for his career.
2005: Played in 11 games, starting nine both at defensive end and defensive tackle...recorded 22 tackles (10 solo) and forced a fumble on the season...had a season-high three total tackles on three occasions, first against top-ranked USC on Oct. 1, then at Stanford on Oct. 15 and also at No. 14 UCLA on Nov. 12...collected at least one tackle in each game he played... was recognized as a Hard Hat Player for his work in ASU's winter strength and conditioning program.
2004: Played in all 12 games...recorded six tackles on the season, three solo... intercepted a pass in the season-opener against UTEP, returning it five yards...made two tackles vs. Iowa (one solo)...recorded a season-high three tackles at Cal (two solo).
JUNIOR COLLEGE: A 2004 graduate of Kilgore (Texas) College...rated as the No. 19 prospect in South Carolina by SuperPrep...earned honorable-mention all-conference honors in 2003...preseason honorable-mention All-American in 2003...had 45 tackles and seven quarterback sacks in 2002 as a freshman at Kilgore College...in 2003, collected 58 tackles, six sacks and 19 tackles for loss...coached by Timmy Rieves.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2001 graduate of Manning (S.C.) High School...was rated as the No. 1 defensive lineman in South Carolina...played in the Shrine Bowl, an all-star game between South Carolina and North Carolina...career statistics in high school included 323 tackles, 71 tackles for loss and 39 quarterback sacks in three years as a starter...made first-team all-area by the Sumter Daily Item as a junior and senior...made first-team all-statewide defensive linemen for two seasons by the High School Sports Report...made first-team All-Pee Dee Area as a defensive lineman by WBTW, Channel 13...earned first-team all-region honors three times...selected as one of the Top 150 players in the country by ESPN.com...had 72 tackles and 16 quarterback sacks as a senior at defensive end...turned in 156 tackles and 18 sacks as a junior at tackle...tallied 95 tackles and five sacks as a sophomore at tackle...initially signed out of high school with Appalachian State...coached by Barry Avant and Robbie Briggs in high school.
