High School...played quarterback, kicker, punter and defensive back...as a senior, threw for 1,897 yards and 17 touchdowns and rushed for nine touchdowns...made 94 tackles and two interceptions on defense...made 38 PATs and five field goals...set school records for longest touchdown pass (97), most PATs in a season (47) and most PATs in a game (7)...was named a team captain and team MVP as a senior...earned 4A East Sky Region first-team honors as a defensive back and second-team honors at quarterback in 2001...named to the Tempe All-City first-team (quarterback), All-Tribune 4A-2A first-team (defensive back and punter) and second-team (kicker)...lettered three years in football, four years in track and two years in basketball...named Outstanding Male Athlete at Tempe HS all four years...set school records in the freshman and sophomore decathlon...won the Arizona High School Decathlon and named MVP of the track team his senior year.
