ASU: Enrolled at ASU in January...could contend for a starting spot or long relief during his freshman season.
High School: A 2001 graduate of Bishop Amat High School in La Puente, Calif....coached by Ken Kendrena at Bishop Amat, who played college baseball at Cal State Northridge...named first-team All-Del Ray League junior and senior year...was the league's pitcher of the year in 1999 and 2001...was 7-1 with a 1.98 ERA as a sophomore...also posted a 7-1 record his junior year with a 2.13 ERA in 56 innings...earned the win for his Babe Ruth summer team to win the Babe Ruth National World Series...also played in the 13, 14 and 15-year old CABA World Series... helped lead team to CIF and National Championship with a 9-1, 1.65 record as a senior... all-league and all-state as a senior.
Personal: Undecided on a major, but is interested in art...enjoys drawing animation...attended the same high school as current Sun Devil Dennis Wyrick...parents are Miguel Sr. and Magdelena Sanchez of East Los Angeles, Calif....has one brother, Jesus (13).
