1999: Posted solid times as a distance freestyler, including a 4:31.23 in the 500 free, good enough for second on the team ... notched fourth-fastest ASU time in the 1000 free (9:28.89) vs. arch-rival Arizona ... swam the 1650 in 15:37.91, his fastest time since arriving at ASU.
1998: Swam team's second-best time in 1650 free (15:45.39) ... also recorded the team's second-best time in the 200 free (1:41.90).
High School: A 1997 graduate of De La Salle High School, Concord, Calif. ... two-time high school MVP ... All-American in 200 free, 500 free and 400 free relay ... personal best 1:42.62 in the 200 free.
