JUNIOR COLLEGE: Earned his associate's degree in general studies at Mesa (Ariz.) Community College in 2003...played defensive end and tackle at MCC...coached by David Rice.
HIGH SCHOOL: A 2000 graduate of Monta Vista High School in Cupertino, Calif....was the defensive lineman of the year in the Santa Clara Valley League in 2000...two-time first-team all-league selection (1999 and 2000)...also earned second-team All-Central Coast Section honors as a senior...had 53 tackles, 10 sacks and two fumble recoveries in his final year...recorded four sacks vs. Los Gatos High School in 2000...lettered three times in football and twice in wrestling...was the 2000 league wrestling champion with a 33-12 record...captained his football and wrestling teams as a senior...was coached by Brad Metheany in football and Matt Eardman in wrestling.
PERSONAL: Is pursuing a degree in interdisciplinary studies (philosophy and communication)...has aspirations of becoming a mortgage broker...parents are Rick (sales) and Linda (realtor) Kingsbury of Sunnyvale, Calif....has a sister, Kendra (21)...lists his most exciting sports experience as beating crosstown rival Cupertino High School on their shared field to win "The Helmet"...born in March of 1982 in Santa Clara, Calif....full name is Kyle Loren Kingsbury.
