2009 Outdoor: Switched to competing in the javelin
full-time and bettered his pervious personal-best in every meet he competed...
ended the year with a best of 52.72m (172-11), which was 18 feet better than his
previous best... took third in the Double Dual and fourth in the Sun Devil
Invitational... earned Academic All-Pac-10 Honorable Mention... 2009 Indoor:
Competed in a pair of meets and placed 11th in his first indoor
heptathlon with 3,502 points... recorded personal bests in the 60m dash, 60m
hurdles, 1000m run, high jump and shot put during the heptathlon... 2008
Outdoor: Placed 10th at the Pac-10 Championships in the decathlon
with a personal-best score of 5,846 points... selected to the Academic All-Pac-10
Honorable Mention team... 2008 Indoor: Competed in several events to
prepare for the outdoor season... placed third in the long jump with a leap of
20-08.50 (6.31m)... finished fifth in his first pole vault competition at the
Friday Night Challenge (11-01.75/3.40m).
Temple: Competed in two meets before being sidelined
with an injury.
High School: A 2006 graduate of North Attleboro High
School (North Attleboro, Mass.)... lettered three times each in track & field and
football and twice in baseball... captained the track & field team in 2005 and
2006... scored 3,442 points to win the MSTCA Pentathlon title while also setting a
state record in 2006... member of the National Honor Society.
