ASU CAREER: Four-year contributor who battled injuries early in his career...appeared in 46 games with 33 starts at ASU...missed only three games during his career despite nagging injuries...totaled 90 tackles (56 solo), 17 tackles-for-loss and 10.5 sacks...appeared in the 2007 Hula Bowl All-Star Game...began and ended his Sun Devil career impressively, earning Pac-10 All-Freshman honors in 2003 and Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 recognition in 2006.

2006: Started all 13 games at defensive end...earned Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 recognition...was honored as ASU's Most Outstanding Defensive Lineman of the Year at the team's year-end banquet.. recorded a career-high 29 total tackles (19 solo), as well as four tackles-for loss and 1.5 sacks...posted a career-high and team-leading six total tackles (three solo) and a four-yard tackle-for-loss against Stanford on Oct. 21...tied career-bests with four solo tackles and two tackles-for-loss at Oregon State on Nov. 4...recorded four solo tackles and a seven-yard sack of Lumberjack quarterback Jason Murrietta against Northern Arizona on Aug. 31...tallied three solo tackles against Nevada on Sept. 9...registered three total tackles and assisted in a two-yard sack of quarterback Bernard Jackson at Colorado on Sept. 16...recovered a fumble at No. 21 California on Sept. 23...contributed a pair of tackles against No. 12 Oregon on Sept. 30...recorded four total tackles (two solo) against UCLA on Nov. 18...earned preseason Second-Team All-Pac-10 honors by Phil Steele.

2005: Played in 10 games with eight starts...recorded 17 tackles (11 solo), three tackles for loss (minus-nine yards) and one fumble recovery...collected a season-high three tackles on three occasions...recorded a four-yard tackle for loss both against USC and at Washington State...had a one-yard tackle for loss at Stanford...was named to the preseason watch list for the Ted Hendricks Award, which is annually presented to the top defensive end in the nation...was named a preseason All-Pac-10 selection by Athlon Sports...was ranked as the 20th-best defensive end in the nation by the Sporting News.

2004: Started all 12 games at defensive end...recorded 26 tackles on the year, including 16 solo stops...tied for first on the team with seven sacks for a loss of 49 yards...broke up four passes on the year...turned in a career-best five tackles vs. Oregon State...also forced a fumble in that game...had a career-high four solo stops and tied his career best with five total tackles the following week at Oregon...added a pair of sacks for a loss of 14 yards and broke up two passes vs. the Ducks (all careers)...matched his career best with two sacks in ASU's victory over Washington State.

2003: Played in 11 games...was named to the Sporting News Pac-10 All-Freshman Team...a co-winner of the Bill Kajikawa Sun Devil Award, which is given to the most outstanding freshman...tallied 18 tackles, including 10 solo stops...recorded two sacks for a loss of eight yards...had three tackles for loss for nine yards...had his best game of the year with four tackles, two for a loss of seven yards including a six-yard sack, at UCLA...also had four tackles at Stanford...was recognized as a Hard Hat Player for his work in ASU's winter strength and conditioning program.

HIGH SCHOOL: A 2003 graduate of Saguaro High School in Scottsdale...was listed as the top-rated player in the state of Arizona by SuperPrep Magazine...selected the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Arizona...played in the Army All-American game on ESPN, in which he was a rare bright spot on the West's losing team with five tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery...won the Ed Doherty Award, the state player of the year honor...rated as the 48th-best player in the nation (a member of the "Elite 50") and the No. 14 defensive line prospect in the country by SuperPrep...garnered nine votes in The Long Beach Press-Telegram's "Best In The West" ratings... a member of The Orange County Register's Fab 15 First-Team (there were only two non-Californians on the team)...a member of The Tacoma News Tribune's "Western 100"...rated as the nation's 11th best defensive end by rivals.com and theinsiders.com....ranked as the 99th best overall player by theinsiders.com....PrepStar preseason All-America selection...listed as the No. 1 player in the state of Arizona by SuperPrep in the preseason...named first-team West All-Region by PacWestFootball.com...the No. 3 defensive end in the West by PacWestFootball.com...rated as the No. 10 player in the West by PacWestFootball.com...named All-Arizona by The Arizona Republic...first-team all-state 4A by The Arizona Republic...East Valley Tribune All-Northeast Valley first-team defense and Player of the Year...The Arizona (Scottsdale) Republic first-team defense and Player of the Year...won three major awards in Arizona, presented by Phoenix Metro Football Magazine (the Scottsdale City Player of the Year, the Roger Kronberg Award, given to the best interior lineman and the Brian Murray Award, given to the state's best interior lineman)...named to the Super All-State first-team on defense by Phoenix Metro Football Magazine...won the Curley Culp Award, given to the best defensive player in Arizona...three-time all-state player...accounted for 131 tackles, 34 tackles for loss, 30 quarterback sacks, 29 quarterback hurries, four caused fumbles and three fumble recoveries during his senior season...also played fullback and tight end on offense...rushed for 515 yards and scored eight touchdowns as a senior...four-year stats were 334 tackles, 45 quarterback sacks, 82 quarterback hurries, 13 forced fumbles and 12 fumble recoveries...also collected 18 career touchdowns rushing or receiving as a fullback...team captain and MVP as a freshman on the frosh team...boasted a 3.6 grade-point average...played for coach Stuart Goldstein at Saguaro High School.

PERSONAL: Majoring in digital art...parents are Bryan Caldwell (inspector, city of Scottsdale) and Kitch Baldwin (realtor)...has three siblings, Dane Caldwell (15), Keelor Lewis (14) and Logan Lewis (13)...his father, Bryan, was a star defensive lineman at ASU and a member of the nation's top defensive unit in 1982...that ASU team went 10-2 and defeated Oklahoma in the 1983 Fiesta Bowl...his father was drafted in the third round of the 1983 draft by the Dallas Cowboys...spends some of his time doing charity work (first started doing charity work at the age of 13)...has helped build homes for Habitat for Humanity and worked for environmental groups that strive to revegetate the desert...an aspiring artist, some of his work has been placed on display at galleries in the Phoenix area...lists his most exciting sports experience as running onto Frank Kush Field wearing No. 50 in his first game as a Sun Devil...was born on Oct. 18, 1984 in Dallas, Texas...full name is Kyle Craig Caldwell.
