High School: A graduate of MacArthur High School (Irving, Texas)...two-time state runner-up in the 200m dash (2001 and 2002)...also finished third in the state at the 100m...earned all-city honors all four years of competition...team's MVP as a freshman and sophomore...most outstanding junior and senior...also voted as the team's comeback athlete of the year as a senior...earned four letters in track and field and three in basketball...captained the track and field team as a sophomore, junior and senior.
