High School: 2000 graduate of Carl Hayden High School (Phoenix)...four-year letter winner in track and cross country...won back-to-back state cross country titles as a junior and senior...as a junior, placed 19th at nationals after qualifying with an eighth-place finish at the Foot Locker West Regionals...placed fourth in the state as a sophomore and eighth as a freshman...missed the end of his senior cross country season and all of his track season due to an injury.
