HIGH SCHOOL: A 2001 graduate of Wichita Falls (Texas) High School...was a first-team all-district selection and district offensive MVP as a senior...also earned honorable-mention all-state honors...was a first-team Red River regional selection...was selected to play in the Oil Bowl featuring Texas all-stars vs. Oklahoma all-stars...carried the ball 311 times for 2,243 yards over his last two years, averaging 7.2 yards per carry...has 1,133 yards on 148 carries as a junior and 1,110 yards on 163 carries as a senior...was a team captain as a senior...scored three touchdowns in two minutes to lead his team to a come-from-behind victory in the regional finals game...helped his team to a 14-game winning streak as a senior that ended in a last-minute loss in the state semifinal game...also competed in baseball and track and field.
