SUN DEVIL DATA: High school stud in baseball and basketball in Missouri who was seventh-round pick of the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2008 Major League Draft. Great shooter. Career scoring leader at Benton High School with 2,104 points and 1,029 rebounds. Best games in high school were 46 points and 16 blocks, both school records. Solid scholar-athlete who broke his brother's batting average school record of .564 by hitting .655 in senior year. High school baseball team was 91-9 in his four years as a starter.
BENTON HIGH SCHOOL (ON THE COURT): Averaged 27.1 points, 12.7 rebounds, 5.3 blocks and 3.9 assists for 22-5 team in senior season...averaged 26.7 points, 12.1 boards, 4.9 blocks and 4.1 assists for 25-4 team in junior year...first team all-state twice, first-team all-conference three times, first-team all-district three times and was McDonald's All-American nominee.
BENTON HIGH SCHOOL (ON THE DIAMOND): Team went 18-3 in senior year as he hit .655 and had school records in hits (52), RBI (51) and home runs (13) and was perfect in 18 stolen base attempts and added 14 doubles...team won state title in junior year with 24-2 record as he hit .489 with 11 home runs, 11 doubles and 46 RBI...team was 24-1 in sophomore year...first-team all-state for two years and all-city and all-district three years.
