High School: A 2000 graduate of Sunrise Mountain High School in Peoria…earned four letters in wrestling and two in football…coached by Sam Chagolla and ASU alum Mike Koury…two-time state runner-up and three-time West Valley Region champion (1998-00)… set a single-season school record with 255 takedowns during senior year…as a senior was named the West Valley Region’s "Outstanding Wrestler of the Year"…compiled an overall prep record of 153-17, including a 42-2 mark as a junior and a 49-1 mark as a senior…captained his wrestling squad during the ‘97-98 and ‘99-00 seasons.
