HIGH SCHOOL: A 2001 graduate of Phoenix's South Mountain High School...earned four votes in the Long Beach Press-Telegram's "Best In The West" poll...preseason All-American by PrepStar Magazine...listed as the No. 8 Athlete in the West by PrepStar...listed as the No. 17 safety in the nation by Student Sports Magazine... earned first-team Super All-State 2000 defensive honors from Phoenix Metro Magazine...teammate of fellow ASU signee Joey Smith...ran a 4.4 40 and posted a vertical leap of 32 inches at the 2000 Nike Camp...all-state, all-league and all-region at wide receiver and free safety...ran on state champion 400-meter relay team with a time of 41.82...as a senior had 110 tackles and four interceptions...as a junior, had 15 catches for 600 yards and 10 touchdowns...on defense, he had 70 tackles, two fumble recoveries, three caused fumbles and 10 tackles for loss...runs a 4.5 40-yard dash...vertical jumps 32.3...earned three letters and was a team captain for one season in football...also lettered four years in track...won state individual track titles in the 100 (10.67) and 200 meter (21.57) dashes in 2001...earned first-team All-Arizona Republic track team honors as a senior...was also a member of the state champion 4x100 relay team as a junior.
