WHAT TO KNOW: A valuable practice player who joined the team in the fall of 2002. A good student-athlete who is already has his degree in business finance and is now studying for a second degree in marketing. Has played in 10 games at Arizona State. Played at Johnson Community College in Overland Park, Kan., from fall of 2000 to spring of 2002 and was coached by Mike Jeffers. He redshirted on 2000-2001 NJCAA Division II national championship team and the 2001-2002 team finished 21-10 and third in Jayhawk Conference. Jamie had the second-highest single-season blocked shot total in school history.
LEE'S SUMMIT NORTH HIGH SCHOOL: Earned two letters in basketball...captain of team in senior year...a Suburban Middle 7 All-Conference pick in 1998-99 and 1999-2000 and also an all-area honorable mention selection...team defensive player of the year for those two seasons...average 9.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.8 blocks in 1998-99...averaged 9.1 points, 6.4 boards and 3.2 blocks in senior year (1999-2000)...posted 15 points, nine boards and nine blocks in 1999 District semifinal win against rival Lee's Summit High School...set the single-season blocked shot record.
