Franco Bari begins his first season at Arizona State where he will be in charge of recruiting, compliance and all aspects on the field with an emphasis on defense.
Prior to Arizona State, Bari coached for three years (1998-2000) at the Paul Marinar Soccer Academy in Paradise Valley, Arizona. Bari also coached the Arizona Olympic Development Program from 1999-2000.
From 1995-98 he coached at the Coerver Elite Soccer Academy in Lake Placid, New York, as well as, the Brighton Soccer camp in Rochester, New York from 1992-98.
Additionally, Bari played professionally for the USISL Tucson Firebirds, Arizona Sahuaros and the Vermont Voltage.
Bari graduated from St. Lawrence University (Canton, New York) in 1998 with a Bachelor of Arts in Government. A standout soccer player at St. Lawrence, Bari garnered NCAA All-American honors in 1997 and was also named the UCAA Conference Player of the Year.
A two-time captain of the varsity team and three-time Defensive Player of the Year selection, Bari claimed Offensive Player of the Year accolades in 1997. Bari also holds the conference record for most goals scored in a single game with four.
