Arizona State: Possesses an outstanding slider ... has command of four pitches for strikes ... good mound presence ... high 80s to low 90s fastball with above average command... finished with 10 career saves and a 6-5 record... slated as the Sun Devils' closer for 2001, but made the transition to starting pitcher late in the season... named a preseason All-American for 2001 by the NCBWA.

2001 (Senior): After being sideline for the middle part of the season, made the transition from closer to starter to lock down ASU's No. 3 starting role... finished the year with a 3-2 record, posting a 5.59 ERA with one save...Was 0-2 out of the bullpen in 2001, but was stellar in a starting role, going 3-0 in five starts with a 4.43 ERA... made first start in over two years vs. Gonzaga (4/24) and struck out career high nine batters... struck out four and allowed only one run in six innings vs. Washington (5/14).

2000 (Junior): Drafted in 10th round by Boston Red Sox... Pac-10 Conference honorable mention selection ... second in the league in saves and in games finished (23) ... recorded a team-leading nine saves ... was a part of two combined shutouts in 2000 ... tied for third in the conference in games in relief (27) and sixth in appearances (25) ... held opposing batters to a .259 average at the plate ... held right-handed batters to a .229 average ... best outing of the season was vs. Florida State (2/5) when he pitched four shutout innings allowing only two hits ... notched a career-high six K's two times ... only loss of the season came at the hands of eventual NCAA Champion Louisiana State ... picked up six saves and two wins in league play while notching a 2.66 ERA ... batters hit only .204 with runners in scoring position ... posted the most saves by an ASU pitcher since Noah Peery (11) in 1994.
