Arizona State: Coming off a redshirt season and looking to earn to the starting spot at 141, vacated by Eric Larkin (moved up to 149 this year). 2001-02: Redshirted. 2000-01: Compiled an overall record of 22-13 and a dual record of 8-7 as ASU’s starter at 149 pounds…qualified for the NCAA Championships with a runner-up finish at the Pac-10 Championships…went 1-2 at nationals, drawing the No. 1 seed in his first match and losing a 9-1 major decision to Oklahoma State’s Reggie Wright…went on to pin Scott Frohardt of Air Force in 2:07, but was then pinned by No. 6 Eric Schmiesing of Hofstra in 6:25…in the Pac-10 final, fell to No. 13 Cedric Haymon of Cal Poly by a slim 4-3 margin…in his Sun Devil debut, went 3-1 to place second in the California Open…took fifth in the Reno Tournament of Champions…compiled a 1-8 record versus ranked opponents, including a 12-9 upset of No. 14 Joe Henson of Pennsylvania Feb. 9…tied for second on the team with three technical falls.

Iowa Central: Earned his associate’s degree from Iowa Central in Fort Dodge, Iowa…wrestled for two years under Coach Ostrandor…two-time NJCAA national and regional champion.

High School: A 1998 graduate of Glenboro North High School in Carol Stream, Ill…lettered in both wrestling and football…captained wrestling squad in 1997 and ‘98…captured national wrestling title in 1998…a two-time All-American and three-time All-DuPage Conference and all-state selection.
