2004 (Junior): Named honorable mention All-Pac-10... backup first baseman who played in 41 games and made 20 starts... hit .309 (29-for-94) with seven doubles, five home runs and 21 RBI... hit .302 (13-for-43) with 11 runs scored in Pac-10 play... one of ASU's top pinch-hitters going 4-for-14 (.286) off the bench... hit .333 (6-for-18) with two home runs and nine RBI in the five-game road trip through the Southwest (UNM, NMSU, ARIZ)... hit .273 in games started and .393 (11-for-28) when he comes off the bench... went 4-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles and a home run against Connecticut (2/27)... recorded six multi-hit games... hit home runs in back-to-back games against New Mexico (5/18) and New Mexico State (5/19)... went 2-for-4 with six RBI against UNM, including grand slam HR in first inning... scored season-high three runs against Washington State (4/23)... was 3-for-7 (.429) with the bases loaded.

Junior College: Played two years at Mesa Community College under head coach Tony Cirelli... played both first and third base in his two years at MCC... as a sophomore in 2003, he hit .344 (67-for-195) with 19 doubles, six home runs and 50 RBI... finished 13th in the ACCAC in hitting (.344), second in doubles (19), third in hits (67), third in RBI (50) and tied for fourth in home runs (6)... a third-team NJCAA Division II All-American... earned first-team all-region and first-team all-ACCAC honors... named to the NJCAA Division II All-Southwest District team, an honor for individuals who have distinguished themselves on a national level through performance, service, merit or achievement... as a freshman in 2002, he hit .355 (48-for-135) with 18 doubles, eight home runs and 42 RBI... hit three home runs in a game against Scottsdale CC and a walk-off homer against Central Arizona.

High School: A 2001 graduate of Mountain View High School in Mesa, Ariz... played two years of both varsity basketball and baseball... coached on the diamond by Mike Theil and in basketball by Gary Ernst... helped lead Mountain View to league championships in back-to-back years... as a junior he hit .381 with eight home runs and 31 RBI... as a senior he hit .357 with seven home runs and 40 RBI... a two-year starter on the basketball team and averaged 10 points and six rebounds per game... a two-time all-conference selection... played on the Tampa Bay Devil Rays scout team in 2000... also played on the Arizona Sun Belt All-Star team.

Personal: Pursuing a degree in interdisciplinary studies degree with an emphasis in sociology and recreation... parents are Larry and Teri Cook of Mesa, Ariz... has one brother, Erik (22)... his father, Larry, played baseball in the Arizona State program from 1977-80, earning a varsity letter in 1979 as a pitcher... his grandfather, Max Schlaurbaum, played football and baseball at Truman State University... enjoys playing basketball, fishing, golfing and hanging out with friends... favorite MLB team is the Arizona Diamondbacks and his favorite player is Matt Williams... full name is Christopher W. Cook... born July 3, 1983 in Mesa, Ariz.
