Player Bio: Cassidy Vreeke



ASU: A three-event gymnast in the past, Vreeke could move into the all-around this season, but will certainly be one of ASU's best on vault, beam and floor for the second straight season ... will be counted upon for leadership in 2003.

2002: Earned honorable mention Academic all-Pacific-10 Conference ... averaged 9.742 on floor for 10 routines ... averaged 9.680 on vault through 10 meets ... missed the Washington meet (2/15) with an injured ankle ... entered the NCAA Regionals having hit eight of her last nine routines for 9.7 or better ... had her best meet of the season against arch-rival Arizona (3/1), setting career bests on vault (9.925) and beam (9.925), while posting a 9.9 on floor ... on vault, her next-best scores were two 9.725s ... hit five of eight routines on beam for 9.75 or better ... on floor posted three marks og 9.9 or more, including a season-best 9.925 at the UNO's Classic (2/8) ... after scoring no better than 9.65 in the 2002 season opener versus Utah State (1/11), Vreeke hit nine straight routines in home meets ... posted a 9.8-or-better five times on floor and four times on beam ... had second-best meet of the campaign versus Utah State (3/8), posting a 9.900 on floor, a 9.825 on beam and a 9.700 on vault.

2001: Competed vault in 12 meets, beam in all 13 meets and floor in seven meets ... averaged a 9.679 on vault, rebounding from an opening fall to hit nine of her last 10 attempts ... scored 9.8-or-above four times, all in successive weeks ... picked up first 9.8 at the UNO's Classic, before improving to 9.825 vs. Arizona ... recorded another 9.8 vs. Auburn and then established a career-best with a 9.875 in quadrangular meet with Nebraska, Kentucky and Iowa ... on beam, averaged a 9.55, hitting seven of 13 routines ... suffered falls in three of her first four meets, but rebounded with a 9.825 at Stanford before adding three straight 9.85s ... on floor, averaged 9.746 despite a fall in her first effort ... took a big leap with a 9.925 showing vs. Auburn ... at the Pac-10 Championships nailed a career-high 9.95 ... continued hot streak at the NCAA Central Regional with a 9.9, before scoring a 9.8 at the NCAA Championships (semifinals) ... had one of her strongest overall meets at Stanford, posting a 9.7 vault, 9.825 beam and 9.825 floor ... also of note is the Arizona dual where she notched her 9.825 vault and a 9.85 beam, as well as the UNO's Classic, where she contributed a 9.8 and 9.85, respectively.

2000:Made an immediate impact during freshman campaign, contributing in three events ... on beam, scored 9.75 or higher all but twice ... made collegiate debut with 9.8 performance at Cal State Fullerton ... tied for second-place at Denver with 9.85 effort ... earned first collegiate event-win with career high 9.875 against Arizona (Mar. 10) .... scoring a 9.825, tied teammates Elizabeth McNabb and Lea Carver for 10th at the Pac-10 Championships ... recorded a 14th-place 9.775 at the NCAA Regionals ... on vault, averaged a score of 9.7 over ASU's final six meets including a then-personal best 9.8 vs. Arizona ... posted 9.725s at the Pac-10 Championships and NCAA Regionals ... competed seven times on floor, with a season best of 9.85, which tied her for third in the quad meet vs. Maryland, Ohio State and Stanford.

High School: A 1999 graduate of Murray High School (Murray, Utah) ... competed for the Rocky Mountain Gymnastics Club ... placed second at the Level 10 state meet and sixth at regionals in 1999.
