2004 (Freshman): Sat out as a redshirt and did not play during the 2004 season... played for the Rochester Honkers in the summer of 2004... transferred to the University of Arkansas before the start of the 2004-05 school year.

High School: A 2003 graduate of Union High School in Tulsa, Okla... earned four varsity letters under coaches Bill Springman and Shannon Dobson... was captain of his team senior year... played summer baseball with the Union Redskins (2002-03) and Memorial Boosters (2000-01)... helped Union to a combined 134-47 (.740) record during his prep career... as a freshman he hit .396 (65-for-164) with four home runs and 46 RBI... named honorable mention all-conference and all-metro... as a sophomore he earned conference MVP honors after hitting .486 (90-for-185) with 23 doubles, 16 home runs and 65 RBI... an all-conference selection as a junior... hit .454 (75-for-165) with 10 home runs and 54 RBI... selected as all-state, all-region, all-conference, all-metro and repeated as league MVP as a senior... hit .494 (89-for-180) with 40 runs scored, 18 doubles, 12 home runs and 58 RBI... played in the Area Code Games in 2002 and the Arizona Fall Classic, both for the Chicago White Sox scout team... during his prep career, combined to hit .466 (319-for-694) with 42 home runs and 223 RBI.
