SUN DEVIL DATA: Ran into bad luck last season as he had to have microfracture surgery on his left knee on Dec. 19 that sidelined him for the remainder of the year. He played in the first seven games (started in two) and averaged 15.7 minutes before his injury. On track to get his Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies degree in education and theatre this season. Posted a career-high 14 points against Alcorn State on Nov. 26 and had 10 points and nine boards in the overtime loss to Minnesota on Dec. 5. His injury left the Sun Devils with just one senior on last year's roster. Morill is the strongest player on the team who has played in 57 games in three-year career (second on team) and started in 10 contests. Sat his initial season of 2002-2003 to concentrate on academics but showed everyone what he was capable of in practice, going head-to-head with future lottery pick Ike Diogu daily. Possesses a good jump shot from about 15 feet and is a good passer. Last name is pronounced More-ell. Arrived in the summer of 2002 along with fellow newcomers Ike Diogu and Serge Angounou. Was a boxer in high school and also played a lot of football growing up.

JUNIOR SEASON (2004-2005): Averaged 18.6 minutes in final seven games, playing double-digit minutes in each game, and played career-high 32 minutes at Washington on Feb. 24, 2005...averaged 5.2 points and 4.8 rebounds in final five games...had six points and five boards in 29 minutes vs. Washington on March 10 in Pac-10 Tournament...had eight points in nine minutes in Jan. 6 win at Stanford, ASU's first win over Stanford since Jan. 31, 1998...eight points in 10 minutes in season-opening win over Jackson State.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2003-2004): Averaged 25 minutes on the Washington road trip and posted season-highs in boards (nine) and minutes (26) at Washington on Jan. 31...eight points in 24 minutes at Washington State on Jan. 29...season-high nine points in 19 minutes vs. Oregon State on Jan. 24...had a mid-season ankle sprain that limited him for a few weeks...25-of-37 (.676) from the free throw line...seven points vs. MAC champion Western Michigan on Dec. 20...six points and five boards at Northwestern on Dec. 17...eight points and eight boards in win vs. Temple on Dec. 9.

ARLINGTON SAM HOUSTON HIGH SCHOOL: A Class 5A second-team all-state pick by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches...Dallas Morning News District 8 5A Offensive Most Valuable Player ...averaged 18.3 points per game in senior year...played in 20 games...shot 66 percent (93-of-142) from the free throw line...top game was against Bowie High School when he had 30 points and 24 rebounds
