DENVER, Colo.--The 25th-ranked Arizona State women's gymnastics team (4-6, 2-5 Pac-12) heads to Denver, Colo. to compete in its first quad meet of the season against No. 17 Denver, No. 19 Minnesota and Iowa, Saturday, in Hamilton Gymnasium at 6 p.m. MT/7 p.m. PT.
This will be the first meet where the Gym Devils will compete against three teams at one time. ASU's previous ten meets have all been dual competitions. The quad meet will prepare the Sun Devils for the four-team session they face at the Pac-12 Championships held in Salt Lake City, Utah on Mar. 24. The Sun Devils will begin the meet on floor.
The Denver Pioneers are ranked 13th on floor (49.140), 14th on vault (49.090), 22nd on bars (48.875), and 25th on beam (48.740). The Minnesota Golden Gophers are ranked 14th on floor (49.120), 17th on beam (48.885), and 18th on vault (49.035). While not ranked as a team, the Iowa Hawkeyes are ranked 11th on bars (49.050) and 25th on vault (48.885).
Senior Beaté Jones is currently ranked 21st in the nation in the all-around with an RQS score of 39.190, including a floor RQS score of 9.865 which ranks 26th overall. As a team, the Sun Devils are ranked 22nd on beam (48.805), 25th on bars (48.830) and floor (48.925).
