She is also on the Big 12 Starting Seven, alongside senior setter Isabella Costantini and junior outside hitter Una Vajagić. Burgess had six blocks in both sweeps over the weekend, aiding to the low hitting percentage for both opponents.
  • Senior opposite Noemie Glover and Vajagić lead the Sun Devils in kills this season, Glover with 321 and Vajagić with 302. Glover had 12 kills against UCF, which was her 15th match in a row in double figures. Vajagić had double-digit kills in both matches last week and hit .474 against UCF, her fourth time hitting at least .400 this season.
  • Costantini had a season-high 39 assists last week and notched her third double-double of the season against UCF. She has had five matches with 30-plus assists this season. She ran a 5-1 last week in both matches, stepping up with other setters out.

Opponent outlook
Texas Tech (4-14 0-10 Big 12)

  • The Red Raiders have yet to secure a win in conference play and have recorded only four wins this season.

Utah (12-9, 4-6 Big 12)

  • The Utes dropped both of their matches last week, falling to Colorado at home in four and another four-set loss to BYU in Provo. The program’s last win this season was on October 8 against West Virginia in a sweep.
