TEMPE – Continuing a busy October, Arizona State Swim and Dive heads on the road with the Women’s Swim and Dive traveling north to Flagstaff to face NAU on Friday at 3:30 p.m. MST. Then, members of the team will head to Dallas for the SMU Classic, which takes place Friday at 3 p.m. MST and on Saturday at 8 a.m. MST.
The women’s team heads to Flagstaff for a dual meet for the first time since 2012, marking the sixth time the teams will compete against each other in a dual. Additionally, the team makes its first of three trips to Texas this weekend, with the Texas Invite in Austin on Nov. 18-20 and the NCAA Championships in Austin in March.

Last time out
Last week, both men’s and women’s teams secured victories over UNLV in the season opener at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center. The men won 245-55, while the women won 231-68.
Sophomore Albane Chacot opened her year by breaking her own school record in the 100 free in 47.23, beating her previous record by .19 hundredths of a second. Cachot also touched the wall first in the 50 free in 22.03.
Sophomore Noah Mudadu set a personal best in the 1,000 free with a time of 8:48.87, winning by nearly 15 seconds. The time is the second-fastest in school history and the third-fastest as a pool record.
Senior transfer Mario Del Valle made his Sun Devil diving debut and earned zone cuts in both his events set for Flagstaff. Del Valle was victorious in 1m (326.25) and in 3m (330.98). Freshman Saeren Brett earned first in both 1m and 3m events, scoring 245.85 points in 1m springboard and 247.73 in 3m springboard.
Senior Ilya Kharun made his debut with a pair of wins in the 100 fly (44.10) and the 200 fly (1:40.29). Freshman Alyssa Albertyn made her collegiate debut with a pair of victories in the 200 free (1:45.92), which is good for sixth-best in program history. Junior Quin Seider set a personal best in the 100 free, hitting the wall in 41.61 for the win.
Last March, NAU won the MPSF Conference, scoring 1,350 points by edging out New Mexico State by 123 points. The Sun Devils will welcome the Mustangs to Tempe on Oct. 22 at 2 p.m., where they will swim in short-course meters in the final home meet of the calendar year.
Big 12 recognition
The program earned recognition from across the Big 12 Conference in all areas to open the 2026-27 season, winning six weekly awards for the first time since joining the conference in 2024. Ilya Kharun and Albane Cachot earned Swimmer of the Week, while freshman Oliver Munn and Alyssa Albertyn won Newcomer of the Week. In diving, senior transfer Mario Del Valle won men's diver of the week and freshman Saeren Brett won women's co-diver of the week.
