LEXINGTON, Ky. – Following a strong start to the season with No. 11 Sun Devil Volleyball, junior outside hitter Una Vajagić is one of 16 players that have been added to the 2026 AVCA National Player of the Year Watch List.
The watch list, which now has 30 student-athletes on it, includes fellow Sun Devil Noemie Glover, who was on the initial watch list drop back on July 31. Vajagić is one of four from the Big 12 to be added, upping the total to eight. Arizona State and TCU are the only teams in the Big 12 with multiple representatives.
For the complete watch list, head to the AVCA website.
Vajagić has made herself right at home in her first season in Tempe. On the year, she has reached double figures in kills in all but two matches, hitting .257 thus far. The dynamic duo of Glover and Vajagić are just two kills apart in their season totals, with 196 and 194, respectively. They also both have notched double-digit kills in the last eight matches in a row.
Leading the team in double-doubles, Vajagić has five on the year, all coming in the last six matches. She has earned a double-double in the last three matches in a row.
The finalists for the AVCA Player of the Year Award will be announced in mid-December, with the winner being revealed at the AVCA Awards Banquet on December 18.
