TUCSON, Ariz. – For the first time since its season-opening event on Saturday, Sept. 5, the No. 1-ranked Sun Devil Triathlon program will be near full force when Arizona State participates at this Saturday’s Collegiate Cactus Cup, hosted by the University of Arizona in Tucson. The event will mark the final regular-season contest for ASU before next weekend’s NCAA West Regional Qualifier in Fort Worth, Texas.

Saturday’s finals will consist of a 400m swim, 9.3km bike race and a 2.58 km run, beginning at 10 a.m. MST, before a relay race begins at 11 a.m. MST, followed by the awards ceremony at 12 p.m. MST.

Last time out
A sextet of Sun Devils, led by a fourth-place finish (1:03:00) from Cara Macdonald, finished fifth at the Desert’s Edge Collegiate Cup in Loma, Colo., on Saturday, Sept. 27. Luna Sraka (1:05:37) and Emma Rysavkova (1:06:56) finished 14th and 21st, respectively, before Tyler Kovak (1:07:54) rounded out the four-scoring positions for Arizona State with a 27th-place finish.

At the same time, Sidney Clement became the first collegiate triathlon participate to earn a podium finish at the 2026 World Triathlon U-23 Championships, where she finished third with a 2:01:06. Alex Campbell (2:03:15) finished the event in 19th. Brooke Rousselle, a freshman, finished the 2026 World Triathlon Junior Championships with a team-best 1:02:34, which was good enough for a 17th-place finish.

Parking information
Fans are welcome to park in Cherry Garage, but will need to enter via National Championship Drive. Fans are encouraged to park in South Stadium or Stadium surface lots.
