TEMPE – Sun Devil Swim and Dive earned six Big 12 Weekly Honors announced by the league office Thursday. This is the first time since the program joined the conference in 2024 that it has earned all six weekly honors.

Sophomore Albane Cachot wins her first Women’s Swimmer of the Week honor after setting an ASU record during her 100 freestyle set in 47.23. Cachot touched the wall first in both of her races, in the 100 free (47.23) and the 50 free (22.03). She also contributed to victories in the 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay. This is the third time the sophomore has received Big 12 weekly honors after earning newcomer of the week last spring.

Senior Ilya Kharun gathered his 10th career Big 12 Swimmer of the Week honor. In the victory over UNLV, the senior placed first in both of his individual events, which included the 100 fly (44.10) and 200 fly (1:40.29). Kharun was part of the victories in the 200-yard medley relay and the 400-yard freestyle medley relay.

Freshman Alyssa Albertyn earned Big 12’s Women’s Newcomer of the Week after a stellar collegiate debut. In her first meet as a Sun Devil, she had a pair of victories in the 200 free (1:45.92) and the 200 back (1:55.20), where her time was the sixth fastest in school history. Albertyn also competed in the 400-yard freestyle relay alongside Cachot.

Freshman Oliver Munn took home Men’s Newcomer of the Week after his collegiate debut. Munn secured first place in both of his races in the 100 breaststroke (51.86), which ranked as fifth fastest in school history, and 200 breaststroke (1:53.67). The freshman joined Kharun in the 200-yard medley relay, helping secure the win.

Freshman diver Saeren Brett was acknowledged as Women’s Co-Diver of the Week. Brett earned first in both 1m and 3m events, scoring 245.85 points in 1m springboard and 247.73 in 3m springboard. Brett joins Kayden Hayes as the only Sun Devils to win women's diver of the week honors.

Senior Mario Del Valle claims his first Men’s Diver of the Week. The first time since Lane Stallworth earned a Men’s Big 12 diver honor. Del Valle placed first in both dives in the 1m (326.25) and in 3m (330.98), making zone cuts in both events, which makes him qualified for NCAA Zones in March.
