EDGEWATER, Md. – As a result of their performances during Sunday’s NCAA West Regional, Sun Devil Triathlon seniors Sidney Clement and Alex Campbell were named to the seven-member CTCA All-West Region Team, the organization announced Monday morning.
Clement finished second at the event in Fort Worth, Texas after posting a 1:03:14.08 time, just eight seconds back of Arizona’s Kelly Wetteland for the top spot. Campbell earned a sixth-place finish on Sunday after concluding the event with a 1:03:50.17, which was two seconds back of Arizona’s Molly Lakustiak for fifth.
Clement is now a three-time CTCA All-West Region Team selection after earning the honor as a freshman and sophomore in 2023 and 2024, respectively. In three career races at the NCAA West Regional, Clement has placed 1st (2023), 2nd (2026) and 4th (2024) and did not participate in 2025. She was also named the West Region’s All-Freshman after winning the event as a true freshman in 2023.
Monday’s honor also marked the third career all-region selection for Campbell, who was previous named a two-time All-East Region honoree during her freshman season at Denver (2023), before accomplishing the feat, again, as a junior in her first season as a Sun Devil in 2025. Prior to Sunday’s sixth-place finish, Campbell had earned a pair of fifth place finishes at the NCAA East Regional in 2023 and 2025.
At each regional qualifier, student-athletes who finish in the top seven in their respective division become a member of the all-region team.
