The two schools reached an agreement to meet at Mountain America Stadium.

Arizona State and Southern Miss football have announced a one-game series that will take place at Mountain America Stadium on August 26, 2028.

This will be the first meeting between the two programs. Historically, Arizona State is 2-0 against teams in the Sun Belt. They defeated UL Monroe in 2009 and Louisiana in 2001 by a combined score of 101-41.

The Sun Devils have won their past six non-conference home games under Kenny Dillingham, outscoring opponents 250-83 (27.8 average margin of victory) during that span.

The addition of Southern Miss is the second major schedule announcement that has been made by the program recently. Back in February, Arizona State finalized a home-and-home deal with Stanford. ASU will go to Stanford Stadium on Sept. 6, 2031. Stanford will make a return trip to Tempe on Sept. 11, 2032.
