COLUMBUS, Ga. – For the second straight year, Patience Rhodes was placed on the 2026-27 ANNIKA Award preseason watch list, announced Thursday morning.
The Annika award, presented by Stifel honors the player of the year in women’s college golf, selected by college golfers, coaches and members of the college golf media. Players on the Annika Award Watch List were selected by a panel of Golfweek and Golf Channel reporters. The players are listed alphabetically.
Rhodes enters her fifth season competing for Arizona State as one of three returners to the team. The reigning Big 12 Player of the Year is a two-time All-American and posted five, top-10 finishes during the 2025-26 campaign. Rhodes was fourth at the Big 12 Championships and has been a pivotal part in helping ASU to the NCAA Championship the last three years. Rhodes ranks 17th in the world according to the latest World Amateur Golf Rankings.
This summer, she was part of the Curtis Cup for the second straight occurrence and went unbeaten in match play, going 4-0-0 for the weekend. Her success in match play translated to the 2026 Palmer Cup, where Rhodes went 3-0-1 and was the only team international player to go unbeaten. Her four points were critical in helping Team International defend the Palmer Cup for the second straight year.

About the ANNIKA Award:
Created in 2014, the ANNIKA Award is annually given to the top female Division One collegiate golfer; the winner voted on by players, coaches and members of the college golf media. Named for Annika Sorenstam, the award was created in partnership with the Haskins Foundation to acknowledge the top female golfer and to match the Haskins Award, which acknowledges the top male Division I collegiate golfer. Farah O'Keefe became the 13th ANNIKA Award winner in 2026.
