TEMPE – Sun Devil Women’s Golf Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye announced the signing of Amelia Wan, a transfer from Baylor who will join the team for the 2026-27 season.
"We are thrilled to have Amelia join our Sun Devil Women’s Golf team in August. Amelia’s success in international competition, as well as in the US, will be a tremendous benefit for our team this year," said Farr-Kaye. "We look forward to welcoming Amelia to Tempe in August."
In her freshman season at Baylor, Wan competed in 30 rounds for the Bears had two top-15 finishes and eight rounds at par or better during her 2025-26 season. At the UCF Challenge, she filed a career best round of 66 (-6) and would later finish tied for 10th, with 10 birdies for the weekend.
In her first collegiate tournament, Wan was +4 (220) for a 12th-place finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, which was the second-best finish on the team.
Earlier this month, on the LET Access Series (LETAS) in her first pro tournament, Wan finished seventh, shooting 3-under (213) at the Arkea Montauban Ladies Open. After a final round, she shot 6-under (66) for a top-10 finish. Last July, she won the Midland U21 Girls’ Championship, shooting 1-under (215).
Before playing collegiately, Wan was a member of the European junior team and helped England win the Girls Home Internationals and the European Girls’ Team Championship in 2024. The Newark, England native was tied for seventh in the 2023 English Girls' Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship.
Wan will join reigning Big 12 Player of the Year, Patience Rhodes, Big 12 Freshman of the Year, Fai Rubrong, Kate Dillon and Johanna Axelsen in the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Rhodes, had five top-10 finishes this past season, including two coming in the last three tournaments with a fourth place finish at the Women's Big 12 Championships, shooting 2-under, (214) for the tournament. The Bath, England, native was sixth at the NCAA Stanford Regional, shooting 6-under (206) which helped send the Sun Devils to NCAA Championships. Additionally, Rhodes has competed at the Augusta National Women's Amateur the last two years.
Rubrong, joined the team in January and had two top-5 finishes in eight tournaments for the Sun Devils. She finished runner-up at the ASU PING Invitational with 7-under, (209), then had a fifth-place finish at the Dr. Donnis Thomas Invite in Hawaii, shooting 3-under, (210). Rubrong made 78 birdies and one eagle in 25 total rounds with the team this past spring.
Dillon, appeared in 31 rounds as a freshman for the team last season with a 72.5 scoring average in 11 tournaments. Dillon had a runner-up finish at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic shooting 14-under (202) and was tied for 20th at the Nanea Invitational at 2-under (217). Axelsen, played in seven tournaments and had a top-20 finish at the Mason Rudolph Championship with a 2-over (215). For the season, Axelsen had seven rounds of par or better throughout the season.
