TEMPE – Sun Devil Hockey officially unveiled its full 2026-27 schedule on Monday afternoon, which is a 36-game slate that features 16 home games at Mullett Arena.
Arizona State will begin the season with a non-conference series on the road at Lindenwood from Oct. 2-3, marking the program’s first visit to Lindenwood.
The Sun Devils will welcome the Mullett faithful back to the barn Oct. 9-10, playing host to Holy Cross in the first home series of the season before hitting the road to take on UMass-Lowell (Oct. 16-17).
Following a week away from the action, the Sun Devils will begin their third season in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) with a road matchup against St. Cloud State (Oct. 30-31).
ASU is then set to return to Mullett Arena to begin the home conference slate against the reigning national champions, Denver, with two games over a three-day span the weekend of November 6-8. The series against Denver will take place on Friday, Nov. 6 and Sunday, Nov. 8, due to Sun Devil Football's home game against Colorado on Saturday, Nov. 7.
After a week hiatus, the Sun Devils travel north to face Minnesota Duluth (Nov. 20-21) before a three-week homestand, beginning with a non-conference tilt against Alaska Anchorage (Nov. 27-28).
Conference play will then resume with the inaugural Ed Robson Cup against Colorado College (Dec. 4-5), before hosting Western Michigan (Dec. 11-12).
As previously announced on April 7, ASU will close out the 2026 calendar year with a trip to Milwaukee to compete in the Kwik Trip Holiday Faceoff scheduled for Dec. 28-29, which features UMass, Northern Michigan and Wisconsin.
The Sun Devils then flip the calendar to 2027 with a conference matchup at Omaha (Jan. 8-9), before returning to Tempe for its only home series in January, hosting Minnesota Duluth on January 15 and 16. The Sun Devils will wrap up the month with a trip to Oxford, Ohio, to play Miami (Ohio) on January 22 and 23.
From there, the Sun Devils head to Magness Arena in Colorado to face Denver (Feb. 5-6), before returning home to host North Dakota (Feb. 12-13). Finally, ASU wraps up the season's road slate with a matchup against St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota, which marks the first time as conference opponents on February 19-20. The regular-season finale is set for a home series against Omaha on February 26-27.
Postseason play begins with the NCHC’s best-of-three first-round series, which is scheduled to begin on March 5 at home campus sites. Following the opening series, the NCHC quarterfinals and semifinals will be held on March 12 and 13, respectively, and will be hosted by the higher seeds. The Frozen Faceoff Championship is scheduled for March 19 or 20, before NCAA Regionals are scheduled to begin on March 25.
