IRVING, Texas – On Wednesday, the Big 12 Conference announced the lacrosse weekly awards of the season for week eight, and Sun Devil Lacrosse’s junior midfielder Anna Viglione secured Draw Specialist of the Week honors for the fourth time in the last six weeks.

ASU picked up a 17-10 Big 12 win over the Bearcats to hit .500 in conference play, and Viglione dominated in what should have been her toughest draw competition of the season. The Ashburn, Virginia, native outdrew Cincinnati's Morgan Handzel 16-5.

Prior to Saturday, Handzel had the next highest overall draw control mark in the conference - behind Viglione's conference-leading 152 - with 110. Like Viglione, she had thrice been named Big 12 Draw Specialist of the Week.

Viglione's 16 draw controls were the 9th game she's tallied double-digit draws, and have her sitting atop the NCAA in terms of the single-game individual draw control mark at 12.92.

She is the ninth weekly honor for ASU this season, following Teagan Ng (attacker), Regan Spichiger (goalie), Jordyn Behar (attacker), Gabriella Henry (freshman), and Averie Cage (freshman), who have been recognized by the Big 12 this season.
