Herbie Behm named President-Elect of the CSCAA Board of Directors

TEMPE – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced Tuesday morning updates to its Board of Directors, including leadership transitions and the addition of two new board members.
As part of its standard governance cycle, the CSCAA will see changes within its executive leadership. Arizona State Head Coach Herbie Behm has been elected as President-Elect to the board.
Behm serves as the Director of Swimming and Diving at Arizona State and has helped lead one of the most successful programs in the country in recent years. Under his leadership, the Sun Devils have captured NCAA team championships and produced Olympic and World Championship-level athletes. Recognized for his innovative approach and competitive drive, Behm has played a key role in elevating Arizona State on the national stage.
“Herbie brings tremendous energy, creativity, and bold thinking to the Board,” said CSCAA Executive Director Samantha Barany. “He will challenge us to consider new ideas and opportunities while also honoring the traditions and values that make our sport so meaningful.”
This past season, Behm led the Sun Devils to back-to-back Big 12 championships in men’s and women’s swim and dive and was a catalyst, leading the men’s team to a fourth-place finish at NCAAs and winning four relay titles.
The 2026–2027 CSCAA Board of Directors will begin their term on Monday, May 4, at the CSCAA Annual Meetings in Chicago. Registration for the Annual Meetings remains open, and additional information can be found at https://cscaa.org/annual-meetings.
