BOULDER, Colo. - Sun Devil Lacrosse (8-9, 3-2 Big 12) concluded the 2026 regular season on with a 19-15 loss to No. 15 Colorado (12-3, 4-1) at Kittredge Field on Saturday afternoon.
The 19 goals allowed by the Sun Devils is a season high, meanwhile the five goals scored was a season low. Senior attackers Lydia Oldknow (2G, 1A) and Jordyn Behar (3A) each had a team-high three points in the loss.
With the loss, ASU locked in the three seed in the Big 12 Tournament, CU having clinched the two seed.
How it happened
The Buffaloes scored the first two goals of the game. ASU answered with two of their own, but a five-goal run by CU made it 7-2 through one quarter of play.
Sara Flobeck replaced Regan Spichiger in net to start the second quarter. There were five goals scored in the second quarter, Colorado scoring four of them to mount a 11-3 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter, CU scored the only three goals of the frame to push their lead to 14-3.
A goal from Oldknow opened the fourth quarter's scoring, but CU was quick to tack on the next four goals before Hannah Adamski's goal sealed the game and the 19-5 score stood final.
Sun Devil notables
- With one goal, Teagan Ng pushed her goal-scoring streak to 47 games.
- With two goals and one assist, Oldknow extended her point-scoring streak to 55 games – 54 of which she’s scored a goal in – dating back to the 2024 season.
- The eight draw controls by ASU were a season low. Prior to Saturday, ASU had not been held to single-digit draw controls.
- 19 goals allowed to CU was a season high, and the five goals scored by ASU was a season low. The 14-goal margin of defeat was also a season-high mark.
- ASU dropped to 2-6 on the road in 2026.
- Freshman Hannah Adamski scored the first goal of her career after seeing game action in the fourth quarter.
- The Sun Devils dropped to 0-6 against a ranked opponent this season.
- ASU has not defeated a ranked opponent since May 5, 2022, when the team took down then-No. 16 USC in the Pac-12 Tournament.
