TEMPE - Sun Devil Lacrosse (8-8, 3-1 Big 12) concludes the 2026 regular season on Saturday, April 25, when it meets No. 15 Colorado (11-3, 3-1) in Boulder. The Buffaloes will be ASU’s sixth meeting with a ranked opponent this season, and a win would mark the first over a ranked opponent this season.

Last time against CU, Arizona State sent the Buffaloes home on their home turf in the 2025 Big 12 semifinal game. In the 18-12 win, current senior attacker Jordyn Behar set the program record for both points (12) and assists (8) in a single game.

Though Saturday’s game has Big 12 Tournament seeding on the line, ASU is locked in for another meeting with the Buffaloes in the semifinal round, regardless of a win or loss and will be either the 2 or 3 seed.

Sun Devil outlook
After opening the game with eight of the contest’s first nine goals, ASU never looked back in the 15-8 win against San Diego State last weekend to pick up the third Big 12 victory of the season. With the win and Cincinnati’s loss on Saturday, ASU clinched a spot in the Big 12 Tournament.

ASU leads the Big 12 in assists per game (7.88), points per game (21.81), and draw controls per game (17.31). Behar’s 54 assists lead the Big 12, and her 3.38 assists per game is the fourth-best individual mark in the NCAA. After five goals against SDSU, Lydia Oldknow is sitting at 55, which is a conference-leading mark. Earlier this week, ASU picked up two Big 12 weekly honors: Draw Specialist of the Week (Anna Viglione) and Attacker of the Week (Jordyn Behar).

Scouting the opponent
Colorado has the best scoring defense in the NCAA, holding teams to just 6.43 goals per game. They have not given up double-digit goals to an opponent in a single game this season. Sophomore goalkeeper Elena Oh boasts the best GAA in the NCAA at 6.40. Her .491 save percentage is also the top mark in the NCAA.

Offensively, CU averages 11.15 goals per game. With a win on Saturday, they would lock in the two seed in the Big 12 Tournament, having only lost to Big 12 foe Florida.
