TEMPE - Sun Devil Lacrosse (7-7, 2-1 Big 12) will take on No. 12 Stony Brook (12-2, 5-0 CAA) for the first of three-straight games on the road. The non-conference contest is slated for Wednesday, April 15, at 3 p.m. MST, and the opening draw can be seen on FloCollege.

Wednesday is the third matchup between the two programs in ASU’s nine-year history, and marks the fifth-ranked team the Sun Devils will face this season. ASU has not defeated a ranked opponent since May 5, 2022, when the team took down then-No. 16 USC in the Pac-12 Tournament.

Sun Devil outlook
ASU ended the 2026 home slate on a high note, beating UC Davis last weekend 19-11 behind another record-breaking performance from midfielder Anna Viglione, who tallied 23 draw controls, a single-game program record and career-high mark.

ASU managed 19 goals against an Aggies defense that was allowing just 9.67 goals per game before Saturday’s senior day matchup. The senior attacking trio of Lydia Oldknow, Teagan Ng, and Jordyn Behar combined for 10 goals and seven assists to round out the scoring on Saturday afternoon. Freshman midfielder Addy Westerberg netted the first hat trick of her career and became just the fifth Sun Devil this season to secure a hat trick.

ASU leads the Big 12 in assists per game (8.00), points per game (22.43), and draw controls per game (17.93). Behar’s 46 assists and Ng and Oldknow’s 49 goals each lead the Big 12 in their respective categories.

Scouting the opponent
The Stony Brook Seawolves are 12-2 this season, picking up six wins at home and six wins on the road. Their only home loss came to then-No. 4 Northwestern in the 13-12 defeat.

They are led by Isabella Caporuscio, who has 42 goals and 13 assists, team-leading marks in both categories.
